Project H.O.P.E. stands for Helping other people eat and in January 2012, Walter Saloman of Keller Williams Realty of Port St Lucie came up with this very lofty goal of raising $10,000 to feed 500 families a traditional Christmas dinner. Now this in a normal economy would be a lofty goal, but in this very trying economy, it was indeed a lofty goal. But this is just the kind of goal that Keller Williams Agents rally behind and put their heart and soul into.
Mo Anderson tells us we should GIVE WHERE WE LIVE and that is the true spirit of Keller Williams. Along with a God, Family, Work priority attitude, we spend hundreds of hours per year in the service of others thru our Red Day Project, KW Cares, and then a personal project each year, we as a CULTURE COMMITTEE come together to plan, implement, and raise the funds to complete these projects.
Project H.O.P.E. was born of this CULTURE COMMITTEE. Our inspirational leader, Walter Saloman of Keller Williams Realty of Port St Lucie created the idea and brought it to the Culture Committee. As the newest Keller Williams location and less than 4 months open, Keller Williams Realty of Port St Lucie saw this as a nice way to introduce ourselves to our new community. So we partnered with our fellow Keller Williams Treasure Coast office and many local business sponsors with hearts as big as ours, and we set out onto a path to achieve this lofty goal.
With the help of wonderful sponsors like Richard Stratman of ADT, and John McVean of Housemaster Home Inspections, Coastal Pest Control, Jennifer Whitwam of Fidelity Funding Mortgage, Jay's Floors and More, and so many others, the plan was set in motion in January.
Today, our Project H.O.P.E. Inspiration, Walter Saloman of Keller Williams Realty of Port St Lucie was announcing to our Culture Committee and our distribution partner, Harvest Food and Outreach Center of St Lucie County that we had budgeted $10,000 to feed 500 families here on the Treasure Coast and had fallen short and we were budgeting back to 250.
It was at this moment that GOD sent an Angel and Santa sent a messenger to the meeting to let Walter Saloman and the rest of the Port St Lucie Culture Committee of Keller Williams Realty of Port St Lucie which consists of Shirley Albert, Tammy Smith Eiseman, Mona Marrocco Bates, and Kevin B Tolbert PA, and Broker Gail Hovey that a SECRET SANTA has pledged to make up the difference and make the hard work of these wonderful people a roaring success.
So Keller Williams Realty of Port St Lucie in cooperation with Harvest Food and Outreach Center of St Lucie County will be distributing 500 traditional Christmas Dinners with Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatos, gravy, green beans, and cranberry sauce to 500 families on December 21st starting at 9 AM and going until 1 PM at their Fort Pierce location at the corner of 25th St and Orange Ave.
