Matisyahu's Festival Of Light Tour
Atlanta GA Dec 10 2012
In my post yesterday, I profiled a Reggae singer named Matisyahu. I really like his song ONE DAY (below) and listen to it often. He writes from his heart. He combines beat box into his work as well. His songs are an example of the wide cross section of spirituality available to us at all times. Those guiding us may look different than we look or they may speak differently than we do yet their messages can benefit us all.
Matisyahu focuses on causes in real life as well as in his songs. Last year he did a concert with Luke Weber and drew attention to benefit Chai Lifeline. This year he donated all the proceeds from his latest song to the Hurricane Sandy relief effort in New York until Hannukah ends. He puts his actions where his words are.
I am not a big concert attendee but I am going to see if any tickets are left for this concert. The venue is the Center Stage Theater at 1374 West Peachtree Street in Midtown Atlanta. The Center Stage offers a wide variety of entertainment types. Sometimes the line for tickets wraps itself around the block!
Matisyahu sings a song called MIRACLE (below) that I like as well. MIRACLE is a song to commemorate Chanukah observance. The concert will be held on the third of the eight nights of Chanukah. Wonder if the concert will be all new or a mix of old and new songs? I guess if I go -- I will find out! In the meantime, the two songs I like are here for you to enjoy.
Have a happy day -
