Candlelight Tours At Mount Vernon Estate

Real Estate Agent with Integrity Real Estate Group

Mount Vernon At Christmas For a special holiday treat be sure to get your tickets for the candlelight tours of George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate.  Located on the banks of the Potomac River the estate is decked out for the holidays.

Mrs. Washington herself leads tours which show the home as it was during the holidays of George Washington's time.  There is dancing, music and friends from of George and Martha Washington on hand.

After you tour the home you can spend time at the Museum and Education Center where there are more decorations and music.

As a special treat for the youngsters they can pet Alladin the Christmas Camel who visits Mount Vernon during the holiday season.

The Candlelight Tour runs on Saturday and Sunday through December 16th.  Admission is $22 for adults and $15 for children 11 and under.  The holiday decorations at Mount Vernon Estate stay up until January 6, 2013 and the estate is open on Christmas Day.

The Candlelight Tours at Mount Vernon Estate sounds like it is going to be beautiful Cindy.  Having Mrs. Washington herself perform the tour should be lots of fun and educational and getting to pet a camel even better!

As a history buff, I love these Candlelight Tours. This one at Mount Vernon is a must see. Plus, I love the idea of Aladdin the Christmas camel to greet kids.

I've been to Mt. Vernon, but I can't honestly say that I've ever seen a Christmas Camel. I may have to take a road trip.
