La Quinta Home Prices
Homes are selling and for the first time in several years home seller's are starting to smile, for good reason. Fewer than 2,000 single family homes were on the market for the month of September for the entire Coachella Valley, along with 860 condos according to the California Desert Association of Realtor's. That compares to 5,752 single family homes in September of 2010 and as many as 8,100 to 9,800 homes four years ago.
Foreclosures and short sales are declining and multiple offers are happening on regular sales that are priced right. The higher end market is also moving along well as move-up homes comprise a larger share of sales this year. If you are considering buying a home in La Quinta there are still deals but working with a real estate agent who understands the market is a must. With the still low interests rates, it doesn't make sense for buyers to play the waiting game any longer.
