One thing has become very clear in the current real estate market...if Realtors are going to survive now and continue in the real estate game, they must diversify themselves by becoming a One-Stop Financial Shop for their clients.
One of the beauties of having a captive audience, that would be our clients in the case of real estate, is that they value our relationship and would rather do business with us on other fronts if only we offered the other financial services that they need.
Just think, when a buyer comes to you and asks you to find them a home, one of the first questions that we asked as realtors is, "Have You Been Pre-Approved for a Loan?"
Now, if the answer to that question is No, that customer who came to us for help in finding a home, invariably gets sent to another person to do the loan and get pre-approved.
Wouldn't it be great for the customer and you as the realtor if you could get them pre-approved yourself, especially since they value your relationship and since you'll be do some of the work anyway of getting that customer approved for the loan.
Companies like mine (and a handful of others) clearly see that that where the FUTURE of real estate is headed...One-Stop Financial Services.
To further this thought, wouldn't that same client who has entrusted you with possibly the biggest purchase of their life, would also allow you to serve their insurance and retirement planning needs as well, if you could do it?
Most people are very simple and would love being able to go to someone they respect and trust and do most, if not all of their business with that person, instead of having to deal with several people to serve their needs.
Well, if realtors are going to survive and be at a competitive edge in the new real estate future, then they must credential themselves to serve all of their clients financial services needs.
The FUTURE of real estate is all about Residual and Multiple Streams of Income.
Serving the many financial services needs of clients is not only a good thing, but something that more and more clients are looking for.
Plus, it allows us (Realtors) the opportunity to maximize our income and produce other income streams.
