Another Renovation Project is Done - and WOW!!!

Home renovations just fascinate me, and I absolutely love seeing the "before" house when it is in serious need of TLC, renovations, updating - or a major facelift with repairs.  Then seeing the "after" version of that same house tends to make me do a double take and wonder if it is really, truly the same house.

Yesterday I listed the latest finished product for my investor client, and it definitely falls into the double take category!  After getting current pictures loaded onto the MLS listing, I had to look back to just remind myself of how very far this house has come since the first time I saw it.

This house didn't have horrible street appeal when I first saw it - except for the fact that it was late summer and the overgrown shrubs hanging over the front walkway were absolutely buzzing with bees!

Now its brand new roof, gutters, and paint job make it truly shine - and the walkway is clear of overhanging branches.

One of the most dramatic transformations for this house is in the living room.  Originally showing its age with worn, stained carpeted floors, a fireplace with old bricks surrounding - and floor to ceiling mirrors alongside, it clearly needed some help.

Now the fireplace has a gas insert with tile surround, a custom mantle, recessed area above and custom built in cabinets and shelves to replace the oh so stylish mirrors! The nasty carpet is gone, and the wood floors are refinished to add an inviting gleam to the room.

The kitchen also went through a major remodel,

with the finished look of new cabinets, granite counters, new sink, flooring, lighting, and stainless appliances - it gleams now!

And the hallway bathroom - well just take a look at how it originally looked:

The after version is quite a transformation and the custom tile bath surround especially shows off the artistry of the contractors who created this gleaming "after" version!
