Pets have smells too; make sure that you have taken care of them to the best of your ability. No cooking odor. There really should be no smells that stand out.
The real estate community is finding that smell has a huge effect on buyers. So make sure the carpet is clean and doesn't smell. If you smoke, it may be time to put in a new carpet, or deep clean it to get rid of the smell. Pets and smoking may need to be moderated until after the sale. Consider having your vents cleaned. Try to keep your smoking outside.
