Crown Farm- MoCo's next big thing!

Have you driven by Sam Eig Highway and Fields Road, across from the Rio/Washingtonian Center lately?  If so, you will notice that construction has kicked into full gear at Crown Farm in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Ultimately Crown will feature 2,250 homes — including single family, townhomes, apartments and condominiums. The first phase of Crown — 350,000 square feet of retail, four distinct neighborhoods, parks, walking trails, a future transit stop for the Corridor of residential properties will be Crown West.

Crown West is a sophisticated neighborhood of townhomes and single-family homes encompassed by a charming network of streets reminiscent of an urban village. Open space is the highlight of Crown West, offering a variety of pocket parks and a large city park with an entrance to walking/jogging trails adorned by a natural landscape. 16' Townhomes developed by Pulte Homes. 24' Townhomes developed by KB Home. transitway (CCT) and has set aside 32 acres for the potential future home of a Montgomery County Public Schools high school. Pricing on homes has not yet been announced, but I will keep you abreast in future blogs about pricing and building time tables.

Downtown Crown will be vibrant and diverse, with an exciting collection of shops, restaurants and apartments. Tree-lined streets, engaging store fronts, alfresco dinning and open green spaces will offer Crown residents a sense of community and a lively urban environment. Thanks for your positive feedback.  It's going to be an awesome community, and most likely a 10 year project.  Thanks also for your warm welcome to Active Rain.  Ughhhh....I have so much to learn, I'm overwhelmed.  I guess Rome, or Crown Farm for that matter wasn't built in a day...huh??  Have a great evening Kim.
