We all know of the home with the special Christmas lights every year. That house that is lit with thousands of lights and decorations galore; it is the talk of the town. There is a web site, California Christmas Lights, with 452 of these homes throughout California for you to see; photos, videos, maps, and much more. Even if you are not from California, you can appreciate these well decorated homes.
California Christmas Lights is self-described as “the largest and most comprehensive collection of the best and brightest Christmas light and yard displays from all of California including the San Francisco Bay Area, Central Valley, Sacramento Valley, Los Angeles and San Diego.”
It is pretty amazing; to get a preview of the home, maybe a video, get a map for directions; all before even starting the car. I have found a few homes that I know of that are on that list this year.
How to find the Best Christmas Lights in Your City:
Looking at the counties, you can see which cities have homes on the site. Scanning through the cities in Sacramento County, I chose Elk Grove, CA for this example. A page of thumb nailed photos appear for you to select. This is a partial page view.
Clicking on one of the photos will give you a full view of the decorated home; some even offer a video to view.

But this is my favorite part, directions. If you check off the homes in Elk Grove, or any other city, you will be given directions to drive to all of the homes efficiently. Pretty cool.
