Orland Park Snowman Building Contest
As a kid what was your favorite part of December and Christmas? There was so much I can't pinpoint one thing. Remember snowball fights, ice skating, sledding, snow forts, Christmas decorating, less school work and parties, snow days, Christmas vacation, opening presents, the anticipation of Christmas morning and of course don't forget Frosty. Building the biggest and sometimes craziest snowman on the block. As much fun as that was a big part of that was warming up to hot chocolate with marshmallows. In a perfect world I would transform to a 10 year old every December. The next best thing is doing the smae thing as a kid today.
Orland Park is making this possible with all their events this December and January. One of my favorites is the Snowman Building Contest on Jan. 10th 2013 at 6:30pm. Could you think of anything else that might bring your child hood back. This is the first time Orland Park is putting this on so it should be very exciting, they are even supplying carrot noses.
Get your family together, start planning out the most creative snowman possible and have some winter fun. This is being held at the Centenial Park Ice Rink by the Village of Orland Park in Illinois.
