Listing Pictures When It Is Raining - What To Do
I spent another rainy day working on my photography and the thought occured to me, "What do you do when you get the listing and need the photographs to post online?"
Instead of trying to take the front of the house, stage something that protrays the
mood of the neighborhood. This is a great shot for a beach home. You can also take a picture of the front door. Turn on the outside light and light the interior hallway if the door has a window or side lights.
Rainy days are good for getting the interior shots. You don't have to worry about the problems of backlighting. Be sure to turn on lights and once again try and capture the mood of the home. Don't worry about getting everything. I am working on creating a .JPG, .PNG or .GIF file that can be used in the listing like a picture but it has text announcing that more pictures will be posted, please stop back. Once I have instructions, I will post them for you.
If you have a niche market or farm area, take pictures of the outside of the houses in a 'picture perfect' setting - no harsh shadows, early morning or late afternoon works best. Then, when you get the listing, you already have the perfect picture ready to go. Imagine how impressed the homeowner will be when your listing presentation prominently features their home on the front of the package. Is there a better way to convey the message, "I am the real estate professional that specializes in this neighborhood."
