Pink Skies On The Columbia River, Portland Oregon

After battling the typical Friday afternoon traffic on I-205 from West Linn to our Floating home on the Columbia River, I was able to finally sit down and relax with a nice warm cup of coffee and enjoy the view of the Columbia River.Tonight the Christmas Ship Parade will be going right by home, so I'm excited. The traffic was worth it when I looked out the window and noticed the sky...an odd color that I haven't seen before..very pink. Of course I had my camera at the ready for the ships so I ran outside to capture this beautiful sky.

Cindy, I don't know what it is about these pink skies but I have seen many of them in the last few weeks. I think they are mesmerizing.

Hi Will, It almost looks like some photos that I used an editing program to edit the color and tone. Nope..this was the sky! Hope you too enjoyed a nice cup of coffee!

Hi Debbie, I can't recall seeing a sky this pink before. It almost reminded me of how a sky looks odd...in that green sort of way before a storm. No storm here though..just a very pink sky!

Hi Gayle, I was sitting at the computer and the tone or color caught my eye. I did exactly that..grabbed my camera to capture the colors! Gorgeous it was. :) I can only picture how this would look reflecting on Fish hawk Lake
