THANK YOU ACTIVE RAIN

I'm so excited to see that I just reached 200,000 points on Active Rain.

I started posting on Active Rain for Rich on 12/28/2011. I say for Rich because someone told him that posting on Active Rain would drive more traffic to our Website so he thought it was a worthwhile endeavor but for sure he didn't want to do it so he asked me to and as always when Rich asks for something my answer is always yes! (or all most always) 

So I posted and posted and by March I was ready to quit... and for some feedback I posted on 3/07/12 Active Rain is not doing it ... 

This was a Featured post but more than that it was the beginning of a wonderful journey... A journey that has just begun and a journey that has taught me so much and introduced me to so many wonderful people...  As yet I have seen little financial return but it is starting to happen and at least for me the rewards from Active Rain can not only be measured in dollars and cents...

All I have to do is ask for help with any topic and I get it... I wanted to know how to add color and fonts to my post... bang along came the wonderful Blitz Team and taught me about ScribeFire... I wanted to know how to add a Video... there came Kerrie... I want to know about SEO (understand I didn't even know what that meant a year ago) along came dozens of helpers and I now use my Buddies in Washington Tim & Tammy to take care of that for me...

I learned so much about staging from Laura & Carole something that I thought I knew about since we provide a professional stager for all of our listings free of charge but these gals are amazing...

I've added friends to my Facebook page thanks to Jerry... and his Facebook Friday page..if you don't belong join... you will love it and get some juice on your Fanpage...

I learned about groups and belong to many...

I learned about the contests... they are fun... give you points and teach you stuff...

I learned about posting to Localism to increase your activity... I just got

I learned so much from taking classes with Bob.. who just wrote a post about how "points don't matter" ... Bob you are stealing my joy!!!!

I get to see beautiful flowers every day thanks to Roy

I learned what all the buttons are.. I know how to suggest and re-blog and post on all the social sites...

I learned how to change the URL and copy and paste my post to a different location...

I learned what Bookmark is and frequently do so...

I learned about reciprosity... someone leaves you a comment you do the same...

I learned about subscribing to other Rainers... I currently have 64 folks that I subscribe to.. I enjoy them all and learn from all and laugh and yes sometimes even get teary eyed but it's all good stuff and I love it...

I have learned to much that I would need to write a book to tell you the things I have learned.... Maybe I should write an e-book doing just that... 

For all the new folks out there let me say this... Active Rain is one of the best things I have ever given my time to for more reasons than I can list... In the beginning it can seem overwhelming and you may wonder why bother... I've introduced many people to Active Rain who have quit after a few weeks... BIG MISTAKE... Nothing in life that is easy is every worthwhile... Stick with it and know that HELP is just a click away and before long I promise you that you will reap the many benefits of being an Acitve Rain member...

Now I must go because I need to get to 300,000... I forgot to mention the Active Rain Point System Rocks... I love it and I love getting a feature or a re-blog and a comment it's so much fun and today I noticed that one of my posts was looked at 1774 times.. 

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for inspiring me to continue and thus gain much wisdom and much joy and more leads and more traffic to our website thus making our agents happy!
