Holidays in Manhattan: Walking Down Fifth Avenue
Fifth Avenue is one of the must see attractions during the Holidays in New York City.
The Fifth Avenue corridor from 59th Street down to 42nd Street would be the most popular stretch and give you the most sites to see in the shortest distance.
The retailers along this stretch take Christmas decorations very seriously and do an amazing job decorating the facades of their buildings and putting together window displays that are a Must See Holiday Attraction in Manhattan.
Notable window displays include Bergdorf Goodman, Barney's(Madison Avenue and 61st St), Lord and Taylor's just to name a few.
Also along this stretch of Fifth Avenue is Rockefeller Center with the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, an absolute must see for anybody coming to Manhattan for the Holidays.
Fifth Avenue will be very busy, so expect lots of people doing the same thing you are doing, but it's worth the hustle and commotion to see this stretch of world famous Fifth Avenue during the holiday season.
Whether you see the decorations during the day or at night with everything lit up, you will be happy you made the trip to see Fifth Avenue Christmas Decorations.
Here are a few pictures of some of my favorite Fifth Avenue Holiday Decorations for 2012:
