NAR Call for Action: Do No Harm to Housing
As a Realtor and homeowner I don't want to see a great benefit of owning a home taken away. I will be contacting my Senator and or member of Congress to ask for their support in keeping the mortgage interest deduction off the chopping block.
Reach out to your representatives and ask them to do the same.

NAR Call for Action: Do No Harm to Housing
As we patiently wait to see if the Mortgage Debt Relief Act will be extended we are now hearing reports about the "Fiscal Cliff." There is speculation that the mortgage interest deduction on income taxes may be part of the "Fiscal Cliff" deal. In other words, eliminating it!
The National Association of Realtors is calling for Realtors to voice their opinion on the matter by sending a message to our Senators and Members of Congress and let them know we are watching to see who stands with us.
NAR will continue to be vigilant and oppose any plan to exclude or modify the ability to deduct mortgage interest as it is vital to the stability of the economy and the housing market.
If you have not already done so, please participate in NAR's Call for Action. It is super easy and will only take 3 minutes or less. NAR has done all the work for us. All we need to do is participate.
I also recommend that we tweet this and post on our Facebook pages as well.
Thank you!
