Saturday, December 15th, 2012 in the Village of New Preston.

Village of New Preston CTAs if that wasn't enough, the Village of New Preston is hosting their third annual Windows of New Preston Village Stroll. Food, fun and Clifford the Big Red Dog will be there. The shops will be handing out food and drink (both leaded and un-leaded), songs will be sung by Christmas Carolers roaming through the village, sales in the stores, and wow is New Preston beautiful at Christmas time! OK, New Preston is pretty amazing any time of year, but this is very special. Head on over between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm and enjoy one of the most beautiful Villages in Litchfield County! For more information on
Windows of New Preston Village Stroll click here.

I love Litchfield County, and this time of year is a very big reminder of why Christmas in Connecticut is so near and dear to my heart! And of course if you want to come from New York city and spend a Christmas in Connecticut type of weekend, it is just 90 minutes from downtown Manhattan. There are plenty of amazing places to stay in the area, from Kent to Washington and beyond. The Hopkins Inn on Lake Waramaug, The Rooster Tail in Warren, The Mayflower in Washington, The Inn at Kent Falls in Kent just to name a few.

Andrea...

It looks like there is going to be plenty of holiday cheer in your area. Are you expecting snow in time for Christmas?

Richard, there is more than enough to go around, this will be a very busy weekend for me, including our own hayrides on Sunday in New Milford!

I am expecting snow, LOL, just don't know if Mother Nature has other plans for us.

Andrea, Santa will be very busy this weekend as will his helpers. It's rumored that he will find his way to Prospect as well.

That sounds like a great venue of holiday activities in your community, Andrea!  I like the accompanying photos too. . . Especially the one with the horses!  My thoughts go out to the citizens of your state, with the tragic events that happened yesterday in Sandy Hook!
