Is Intown Atlanta Really a Seller's Market?

By

WOW!... How did that happen so quickly after years sluggish markets here in Atlanta? Well, buyers came out in
force this year and grabbed up all of the homes that were priced right. That, along with banks still holding on to
their 'shadow inventory', and we've now got a seller's market on all homes under $500k!  We've even seen home prices increase in certain Intown Neighborhoods.

Seller's Market Chart

The industry benchmark for a "Balanced Market" is 6-7 months.  Viewing the overall supply shown here against the industry benchmark shows that current levels in price ranges below $500k enjoy a seller's market.

For the first time in many months (and even years), the supply fell into the "Seller's Market" condition overall, with an extremely low supply for homes priced below $200k.
