What's happening at the Barbara Bush Library

By
Real Estate Agent with Results Realty

There is always something happening at the Barbara Bush @ Cypress Creek Library!  They have story time for small children ages 3-6 years.  People of all ages can benefit from the vast amount of books, videos, magazines they have.

This library is offering an Adult Microsoft class where you an learn Excel, Word, Publisher and computer basics.   This is a wonderful thing they are offering.  They have classes on learning how to crochet and a teen cooking club.  I am just amazed at what all this library offers.

This week they have Story Time for ages 3-6 on January 30, 2008.  It features age appropriate stories, songs fingerplays and occasional crafts.  The location is the Robin Bush Children's Activity Room.

Sunday, Feb. 3rd,  2-4 pm thre will be a visit with Anita Bunkley, the author of "Emily the Yellow Rose", "The Silent Wager", "Steppin' Out With Attitude" and many other books. There will be special activities for teens and children.

I am including a calendar of events link for you to reference the many activities this fabulous library has to offer.  You should check it out for yourself.

Candy~Are they charging anything for the classes at the library? How impressive if that is free. Me and my boys used to have "Library Day" when they were preschoolers and they loved it. This has reminded me to do the same thing with my little girl. Thank YOU!

Good Monday morning Candy,
Local libraries are such a wonderful resource.  It is truly amazing what they offer and it is usually FREE.  So many people are just not aware of the classes, etc.  Great job putting the word out.

Candy, You make me miss the library, last time I was there was for speaking.  But I did get to see some wonderful exhibits and realize it's time to go back. Besides, I'm buying all my books when I can just rent them!

Cynthia - Yes, everything at our library is free to the public.  I was surprised that they even offer crochet and knitting classes.  lol  How cool is that?

Carole - I have to admit I go and buy a book when I could rent it instead.  I should take advantage of the wonderful resources they offer.  However, I am thinking about taking that excel class.
