Power of words

As I sit here writing this blog, I stare at a bag of Popcorn. The popcorn was "popped" in a factory somewhere at some time well before today. The bag says "Fresh Popped" and "Freshness Guaranteed" on the front. What does that mean exactly? Can it be "fresh" today if it was popped last month? Last night my family popped some Boy Scout Popcorn in the microwave, that seemed pretty fresh to me....it was hot when I pulled it out of the microwave!

As a Realtor do I need to remind my clients that I am current? That I study the market daily? That I work everyday to be a better Realtor? Should I wear a T-Shirt saying, "I am current on Real Estate"? Should I have a pin that states "Good Guy"? Should my marketing materials say "Guaranteed Real Estate Knowledge"?

I laughed at the bag of popcorn when I read the front so I will not do what I asked above. But I would love to find a way to show clients and future clients that I am the go to guy for local Real Estate. For now I will just continue to be a full time agent that studies the market, looks for new ideas, and continues to learn all I can about Real Estate.

Time to open this bag of fresh popcorn, you know it will be good the bag guarantees it.....
