Has society caught on to VA's (Virtual Assistants) yet?

In the Virtual Assistant community, it seems like Virtual Assistant's are really growing and are all over the place.  I keep seeing little stories about them on CBS, and various news channels.  However, I havent met one person yet that I know that ever heard of a Virtual Assistant let alone work with one.  I know virtual work is the wave of the future but what can we do to teach society about them?  It might be a hard road ahead trying to change views of people (employers) that are used to doing things a certain way.  Some people dont like change.  Any thoughts.
