The Roller-Coaster Days of Real Estate
Real estate is somewhat of a roller-coaster business. You can experience the joys of closing, the agony of a buyer walking in your short sale listing, a wild appraisal, and more...all in one day.
I try to remain detached, but it's really hard. I care about my clients, and how their experience proceeds. It's my goal to make this process as easy and stress-free as possible, but let's face it...buying or selling a home is one of the biggest transactions of your life...and emotions do get involved.
Sometimes, I get several pieces of bad news in one day. I distinctly remember not very long ago thinking aloud...."Now why can't I have as many GOOD news items in one day as I can get bad???"
Obviously, the invisible negative naysayer on my left shoulder was speaking a little too loudly into my ear.
Yesterday, the optimistic gnome of happiness on my right shoulder was jumping up and down for glee, and in the interests of focusing on the positive and having a direct record of it, I decided to SHARE my day.
I have an accepted offer on one of my listings. I met new buyers and added them to my client base. I met another neighbor as I was setting out open houses and he asked me to come by his house and tell me my ideas for marketing it. I met a renter who was checking out the vacant house next to my open and exchanged information to help her with her home search. AND...one of my past clients called with a name and number of a close family friend that is looking to buy homes for sale in Tucson.
Well...take THAT you invisible negative naysayer.... the NEXT time I get to feeling a little too low, I can just whip out this blog posting and smile. :) It all balances out...and as a professional REALTOR, I try my best to keep my optimism to the fore and front.
Looking for homes for sale in Tucson, or have a home for sale in Marana? I'm happy to help - real estate is my passion.
