Earlier this week, I had to pick up Alec at school (Helen had to attend a meeting). After some playtime and dinner, I accompanied him to the local Tottenham Foodmart where he was going to make his own Gingerbread House.
Tottenham Foodmart schedules up to eight children at an evening to come to their store and make their own Gingerbread House. They supply the building frame, the icing and assorted treats to build the House and at the end, will wrap it up in a bow and give it to you to take home.
This is our second year taking Alec here, last year Helen had the honours.
I resisted every "anal" urge in me to take over the project... this was his creation. I, myself, am not artistic, and tend to lean towards geometry and symmetry in projects like this. Not Alec! The treats he did not eat went wherever... and I stayed quiet and watched... Alec was proud of his Gingerbread House, and I, of course was proud of him and his house =) A fun Alec and Daddy evening!
