I need some help from my AR friends !!!

Thanks for reading this post and I really appreciate your thoughts !

My WordPress website allows me to review comments left on my site. Most are relevant and respectful. A few are the spam comments we all get. Last Friday I saw the following comment left by a very well known team in our area. At first I couldn't believe that anyone would think they have a right to solicit visitors to my site ! Here is the comment, minus the names of the two agents :

"Looking for homes and other real estate for sale in Fort Myers, Sanibel or Captiva? Call the leading real estate team of ....... "

My system also caught their email address, etc. Again, the two agents names were part of the email but deleted by me for this post.

I decided against doing anything untill I've had a chance to discuss this with their broker - and to cool down a bit.

What are your thoughts ?

I have a WP site and use Askimet too. It catches all spam, and I must approve any comment. I would DELETE that comment....period. I won't allow any promotion on my site. Remember....that is YOUR site, and no one should use if for their benefit. Those other agent are NOT playing in the sandbox nicely at all.

I had the same problem recently with a reblog Bill. I always go to the member who reblogs my post, to thank them, and what did I find, a cut and paste ad for the other agent. I wasn't alone! This pair of agents had taken 10 featured blogs and done the same thing with each. I reported that to ActiveRain.

I am thankful that their broker was helpful. Sometimes well known agents are not a successful as they "appear." These sound a bit desperate. Any consumer seeing their comment would likely think horrible things about them, not CALL them. How could they not know that? Perhaps their email was hacked!

I think they shoud know better. No escuse. I would talk to them in person and give then a stern warning. See how they respond. If they don't act to your satisfaction I would bring the hamer on them.
