Christmas has always been my favorite time of the year. The world comes together to celebrate the most important birthday in history. Augusta GA has always made it possible for their residents and visitors alike to take part in a variety of events in honor of this wondrous holiday.
This year, Columbia County hosted a Snow Festival at Evans Towne Center Park to benefit the Golden Harvest Food bank. It included live Christmas music, a Winter Wonderland, and children's play area.
Christmas isn't complete without Lights of the South in Grovetown. Just 20 minutes from Augusta, the whole family enjoys the Christmas Tree Maze, a hayride where over 5 million lights dress a 100 acre forest and Santa is perched in SantaLand house taking Wish List orders and pictures with the children.
The James Brown Arena located in the heart of Augusta's famous downtown district, hosts the Christmas Made In The South arts and crafts show every year in November. Handmade, one-of-a-kind designs fill the booths as you search for "the perfect gift."
I love Christmas but I love to celebrate Christmas in Augusta GA!
