Pretty soon, St Augustine will become known as the little city that never sleeps. Christmas is hard upon us and St. Augustine , as usual, is a leader in holiday activities. By press time, the Christmas Parade will have come and gone as well as the British Night Watch Parade and encampment, complete with a public “hanging” (how are they going to do that?!!) and the surf Illumination at the Beach. But fear not, there’s lots more in store. A Classic Theatre production of “A Christmas Carol”, a one man show by Jason Woods, will have 9 more performances at Fort Menendez, the Regatta of Lights on Dec.8th, the B and B tours the 8th and 9th…and on and on?

The decision to allow the construction of a 7Eleven and a gs station at the corner of May St and San Marco, looks like it is a sure thing. That might not bring holiday cheer to the neighborhood, but they tried!
