The Sandy Hook school is omnipresent in our minds. It makes us cry and leaves us in disbelief of what happened just this past week.
Many of us feel helpless but really want to do something. Something to ease the pain, something to help!
NBC's Ann Curry surely felt this way when she asked out loud on Twitter and Facebook:
"Imagine if we all committed to 20 acts of kindness for each child lost in Newtown? I'm in. RT #20Acts if YOU R in. #MTP #Supersoulsunday."
She suggests to start in your own town, house and heart. Since then the hashtag #20acts has generated a firestorm of goodness. People from all over the world are tweeting and 'facebooking' about the things they have done to make a little difference in the world. Publizicing the good deeds on these social platforms really have nothing to do with gloating, but to inspire others to join in the movement.
Since Ann Curry's tweet on Sunday the hashtag has changed to #26acts #28acts or #26actsofkindness. What you label it really doesn't matter, as long as you DO!
So here is my request: Will our very large, generous, compassionate ActiveRain community join in to pay it forward? Your gifts can be gifts of money, time, service!
Inspire everyone with your good deeds! Leave your #26acts comments below!
