Good morning Debbie,
On-line marketing re-enforces who you are and that you are reputable and doing business! Good for you....sure your meeting will go well today!
I agree with Lenn, you made a positive impression the first time you met. You also do a great job with your marketing and media Debbie. Very cool.
Hi Debbie,
Look at how easy or hard it was. It all worked out as the new client was impressed with you.
That's what being in the Rain is all about.
Have a great Christmas in New Jersey.
Best, Clint McKie
Congratulations Debbie. You are absolutely right. I was contacted the other day by a woman who had received several pieces of mailers from me awhile back. She has hung onto them and calls me to see if the market has changed yet. So many still want to sell but want a better price for their home. No matter what you do, online or the old fashioned mailers - it will pay off eventually.
Lenn - Thanks. I have a catchy tagline "We bring the store to your door" so some people remember that...for some of these events, we go around the table and have 30 seconds to introduce ourselves.
Dorie - Yes, that's exactly right - just an online version of me.
Roger - Thank you so much. You are so supportive.
Clint - Thanks. Yes, AR has helped boost the presence of my website.
Bobbie - Yes, you're right. That is really cool. And, now that you mention it, I've had several people that have called back from 2-3 yrs ago and are now ready.
Debbie, You just never know which one of our marketing activities is going to be the one, or if it's going to take several of them to get someone to the tipping point. Glad it continues to work well for you!
AND havng the picture be current enough to pick you out in a crowd...and not have to wonder if it was from your high school yearbook....have a great weekend !
Hey Debbie, that is exactly the point-you never know when one of these networking events is going to pay off-good for you and good luck!
Yes, you're right...sometimes it is the combo of seeing people in multiple places. That may bold well for me given a chance encounter I just had with a property manager last week in Starbucks.
Sally & David - Exactly!
Joanna - Yes, that is soooo true.
Hi Debbie - congratulations.. It is funny for as we travel around the area, someone will say "I know you" and you know it is from an ad or something similar.. and of course EVERYONE Shoud know you! You are the best.
When you plant seeds you never know when they will sprout. Congratulations Debbie.
That is cool Debbie and yes, the photo is so important as I have meet people for meetings and they always come right up to me as they know me from my photo.
Great job Debbie... having your photo in your marketing materials reinforces who you are when networking. It gives people a visual reminder of who you are and what you do!
Gay - That's funny. Oh and thank you. You are too kind.
Doug - I know - so true
Shar - That is so cool
Peggy - Yes, I think it really does.
Debbie-Good point of photos that are current. I've met people who look different from when the photo on an ad, business card. Keep it current is the way to go.
Good Morning Debbie: 1 and 2 definitely are important in our business. You should be commended for sharing your thoughts and ideas with us to help us grow our business. Thank you and Best.
I've had my picture on my signs for years and years... long before many agents did so. I'm always running into people who say hello or insist they've met me (which they haven't). They've "met" my picture on my signs and after so many years feel like they know me!
Maria - Thank you so much and best to you as well.
Nina - That is so funny. In my business,, it is uncommon to have a picture.
Always be professional in the social world, you are always on stage no matter where you are. Unless you want to work at a warehouse running a forklift and forget about serving the public
Having the picture look like you is key and frequently not the case. Glamour shots are beautiful, but most people don't look like that on a regular basis.
It is amazing how people that you met years ago come back to do business with you. Congrats!
OK, I am guilty of having an out of date photo.........one in which I was still coloring my hair. But other than the grey, I look the same......the business card photo is so small, no one can see the added wrinkles!
I think looking like your picture really helps lol. Didn't we just do a contest about that?
I also had the recent experience of someone recognizing me from my website picture!
Ron - that is so true!
Rafi - Exactly. No touchups on mine. Just look real.
Rob - Yes, it is. It's happened a few times.
Kimo - Thx. Yes, it is important to keep it fairly current.
Carol - I know...that's my issue...my hair color is often slightly different - sometimes just based on the flash in the picture. I've had photos take 2 weeks apart and the color looks different.
Lyn - Yes, it doesm and Right, we did.
You just have to love it when someone makes the recognition and it's from something that was either posted earlier, a print ad, or networking that was done. Well done
Thank you so much Ed. It's cool when your marketing elements become synergistic.
Debbie, it's always to be recognized and good for you...I walk down the Target aisles and the supermarket and people ask me how my grandchildren, A.J. and Kyra are...they have been in my personalized newsletter since they were born in a section that is called Notes on Motherhood...started writing when my daughter was graduating high school...it is nice to be noticed...
Debbie, it's good to have several networking irons in the fire. And yeah, I got a major hair renovation and had to change my profile picture to be recognizable.
People remember photos more than they do content! If we get lucky, they remember both and give us a call!
Hi Debbie, we think this explains how occasionally we run into someone we think we know or vice verse and can't remember how we knew them.
Debbie -- thank you for a great post ...networking, real photos and good old fashined service. Good reminder too.thanks a bunch!
Hey Debbie, I included this post in Last Week's Favorites. And Merry Christmas!
Debbie -- it is a great point you are making, about being recognizable. It can truly help bring the traffic into the office (via the phone, etc.)
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Another good reason to keep you photo up-to-date so consumers can actually recognize you.
Great share and just goes to show that your presence and presentation is important. Happy New Year.
The more you keep your self out there the more likely good things will happen. Great post.
That is cool.
Clearly, you made a positive impression the first time you met.
