Competition to find Orange County rentals is often very high and it is essential to be prepared when the right property becomes available. To heighten your chances for success be sure to have the following items ready to submit along with your rental application:
• Most recent pay stubs to document or verify income. If you are self-employed have your tax return ready to share if requested.
• References - most landlords will want to verify most recent landlord references as well as personal references. Do not burn your bridges with past landlords!
• Know your credit history and score - if less than upper 600's be prepared to explain why. Pull your own credit report as many landlords will accept your full report.
• Bank Statement - most leases require a minimum of first month's rent plus security deposit - make sure that you can show available funds to cover.
