With everything that has happened this year, and especially in the last week, I would like to send our heartfelt sympathy to those who have lost so much. Times have been hard for many of us in this area, but we have also experienced the blessings of having someone to lean on or to offer a helping hand. There are angels among us!
Here is just a little story for all of you believers:
‘Twas four days before Christmas, and all around Montgomery County, not a real estate agent was stirring, not even a fax. Closing documents were lined up and ready to go, in hopes new home owners would soon have hearts all aglow.
All the statistical charts were filed in their folders, and we had just settled down to a cup of hot cocoa (with tiny green and red marshmallows, yum!). When out on the street there rose such a clatter, we all jumped up to see what was the matter!
And what to our wondering eyes did appear, but a lively old elf, and in a brand new candy apple red Charger (he needs a fast car to get to all the offices)! He spoke not a word as he hurried in the door, just set to his job like he’d been there before. He hurried on past the fax so quiet, over to the piles of closing documents just waiting for highlights.
He scanned the documents like he was a pro, and then pronounced them ready to go. The files were next, and he breezed through them with ease; it seemed he would do as he pleased. Then on through the office, so efficient and spare, he hurried here and then hurried there.
Once he was done, he turned around twice, to make sure everything looked tidy and nice. Satisfied with his work, he turned on his heel, and headed straight for the door made of steel. We followed his progress with astonishment and cheer, for this was the best the office had looked all year!
Then he winked and he nodded to everyone there, and then hurried out the door like he had never been there. Then to the windows we hurried, with concern and some worry, but there was no reason to fear - the elf had horse power instead of reindeer!
Behind the wheel he was in a dash; with engine running, he was off in a flash! Then we heard him exclaim as he drove out of sight, “Merry Christmas to all and to all agents, good night!”
