RADON TESTING ~ IS IT IMPORTANT STILL?

By
Real Estate Agent with BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY HOME SERVICES Verani Realty NH Real Estate

Remember when Radon was the "big bad thing" and everyone wanted to have testing done.  I can't remember the last time I had buyers who ask to have a radon test done before buying a property.  I always mention radon in my information to the buyers but I'm finding it has become less important as time goes on.

I'm curious to see how many of you out there are being asked to have a radon test done when writing an offer?

Most everyone tests for radon in the air and some test the water too.

Hi Patricia,
I think it one of those "forgotten media scares".  I've not had a Buyer elect to have the test in a long, long time.  In N.C, it's their option.

I am glad we don't have to worry about that in Southern California.
