A crazy, great Wisconsin idea--the Frostbite Open at The Red Putter in Ephraim on New Years Day (no matter what the weather)! If you haven't visited The Red Putter Miniature Golf Course in Door County, you're missing out on a classic miniature golf course that has been in business for decades. It's great family fun, and offers 18 holes to put around or through, including a Door County lighthouse, a classic Wisconsin farm.
No matter what the temperature, the Third Annual Frostbite Open will be held on New Years Day and a new champion may be crowned. This event is conveniently held after Jacksonport Polar Bear Plunge (more to follow on that event soon). Registration and practice will be held from 10 a.m. to 1:45 p.m., and play begins at 2 p.m. For an entry fee of $25.00, you will play two rounds of challenging and chilly golf, and hot drinks and chili will be served.
Prizes? Of course!! In addition to the honor of becoming the Frostbite Open champ, prices range from $700.00 to $100.00 for 1st through 3rd place, with a best single game prize of $100.00. Tropies for all who participate, too. This is a wonderful, family friendly event for all ages.
