Marshdale is the dream of Dr. Wilbur Marsh, a dentist from Denver. He saw the view in back in 1923 with Mt Evans in the backdrop and simply had to have this property. 156 acres of beauty and there began Marshdale. The view is the same today as it was then. Mt Evans is an incredible site to behold. If you like climbing, consider a hike to the top of the 14teener. It is an amazing view on top of Mt. Evans, below is a picture from the top.
First, there was a tea room and then rooms added above the tea room. After several years and few different owners, now Brian and Sarah own and operate the Bistro. This is a rustic place with both views of Mt. Evans and a fireplace. The restaurant has a warm atmosphere with European cuisine. There is a full bar that offers German beers on tap and very good selection of wine and other drinks.
The food is prepared fresh daily with a style that is wonderful to taste. When you read the menus below you see the European flavor to their cooking style. The wine list gives you a broad selection to pair your food with. There is also a Testimonials page, feel free to glance at comments to see what people are saying.
Their website gives you a good amount of information. There are some wonderful historic photos of their past on up to the present. You can also make a reservation on line and pick your table. They do tell you, it is a first come first-serve basis on picking your tables.
They have a menu that is exciting, a wine list that has enough to choose from, along with a rich history to give you one of the excellent choices of eating that Evergreen has to offer.
