Marshdale is the dream of Dr. Wilbur Marsh, a dentist from Denver. He saw the view in back in 1923 with Mt Evans in the backdrop and simply had to have this property. 156 acres of beauty and there began Marshdale. The view is the same today as it was then. Mt Evans is an incredible site to behold. If you like climbing, consider a hike to the top of the 14teener. It is an amazing view on top of Mt. Evans, below is a picture from the top.
First, there was a tea room and then rooms added above the tea room. After several years and few different owners, now Brian and Sarah own and operate the Bistro. This is a rustic place with both views of Mt. Evans and a fireplace. The restaurant has a warm atmosphere with European cuisine. There is a full bar that offers German beers on tap and very good selection of wine and other drinks.
