Hundreds of thousands of followers from over 100 different countries have been keeping an eye on a fledgling Southwest Florida family via a webcam that provides a 24-hour live view of their private love nest.
Actually, it's just their nest. Ozzie and Harriet are a pair of bald eagles that are believed to have been together for more than twenty years. They currently have two eggs in a large nest in North Fort Myers. They aren't first time parents, though; the couple has raised dozens of hatchlings since 1990.
The Prichett family, who own the property where the eagles' nest is located, have installed a streaming live webcam. Ozzie and Harriet even have their own business cards, a Facebook Page, and a Twitter account. Since the camera went up late in October, nearly 1 million people in 112 countries have watched the video feed.
There are 90 documented pairs of Bald Eagles nesting in Lee County. Like many local residents, most of them migrate to the Chesapeake Bay area during the summer months.
You can watch the live nest video below.
