Imagine an island the size of Manhattan that allows no more than 300 visitors a day. And it is 69 degrees today.
Imagine an island with no paved roads and no access except by boat.
Imagine an island with white sandy beaches and beautiful dunes.
Imagine this island with feral horses walking on the same paths you walk on.
Imagine a beach so long that the eye cannot see the entire length due to the curvature of the earth.
Imagine a beach where you cannot buy anything and you cannot leave any trash behind.
Stop imagining and start packing.......because all of this is real off the coast of Georgia on a National Seashore named Cumberland Island. For those of you who have not had the pleasure, make your reservation through the National Park Service and take a day trip or if you like camping, spend up to a week on the Cumberland Island Georgia.
