Growing up in Vegas, I've never had a challenge of finding something fabulous to do in NYE. The Las Vegas Strip shuts down and hundreds of thousands of people flock to the streets. It is literally wall to wall people partying until the early hours of the morning. Admission is free to watch the spectacular fireworks show with music that the major hotels display. It's definately a GO BIG or GO HOME event.
Downtown Las Vegas has a huge party also. However there is a $40 entry fee to party under this climate controlled canopy for New Year's celebration. There are bands playing on numberous stages that are sure to keep you rockin out. There are virtual fireworks at midnight on the overhead canopy that will be displayed and the Major will be there as well. It's really cool place. Check it out.
I am opting this year to enjoy of classy two day getaway with my sweetheart at the gorgeous Ravella Hotel at Lake Las Vegas. We have a beautiful room for two days, reservations for 8 for dinner on New Year's Eve at one of their fine restaurants. There will be fireworks at midnight, time with friends and not the craziness of the strip with all the people. New Year's day we are getting massages and relaxing . I'm so excited!
There are so many things to do on New Year's in Vegas and this is an excellent website I found to give you the breakdown. http://www.vegas.com/newyears/
Whatever you decide to do, be safe and here's to our BEST YEAR YET 2013!!
