A bumper sticker...a  shirt ..is not enough.   How can we support our returning military? No doubt as we celebrated the Holidays our hearts & thoughts often included our servicemen and women who spent their holiday away from loved ones and friends. It will soon be the long awaited time for our heros to come home. What awaits them? How can we as Realtors help?

These questions have been on my mind since I read information of the U.S.Department of Veteran Affairs that there are 130,000 service men & women nationwide that will be returniing home.

In Los Angeles alone 8000 veterans are without homes.  This is not only alarming but disturbing.  Our Military and their families have  sacrificed and put their lives on hold and often in danger to come back to a big QUESTION MARK.with .No jobs, often injured both physically & mentally.Where to go for help??????.

I have researched for Military help and found numerous sites that will give help and direction to "Our American Heros

http://www.oefoif.va.gov/FAQs.                 (a deptartment of Veteran affairs web site)

There are  many sites, organizations  and resources to help those coming home.  I still struggle to find satisfaction in how we as Realtors can help. Can our military qualify to buy? Do they need jobs first? Are they moving or staying put? There are a a lot of statistics but also unanswered questions.I am searching for answers, thoughts and ideas ..Please share We need to be prepared to help..Our Military serves us well...now it is our turn to serve them..How can we as Professionals help them.".COME HOME "
