HELP needed from MAC users

I seem to be having a bit of difficulty when it comes to replying, or commenting to someone's post or blog. I have two different laptops, a PC and a MAC. When I'm on my PC I have no problem, but when I'm on my new MacBook Pro, every-time time I write out a comment in never accepts it and won;t click to the next page, thus I cannot reply on my Mac. Is this because I'm using Safari as my browser?? Will it work on a different browser such as Opera or Firefox??? And I keep getting this SLOW SCRIPT message:

A script on the page "ActiveRain Real Estate Network" (http://activerain.com/action/blogs_admin/write) is making Safari unresponsive. Do you want to continue running the script, or stop it?

Please, any help or suggestions would greatly be appreciated!!!

And I'm trying so hard to be a MAC convert, but so many obstacles; SoCal MLS, my Auto Cad version, Minutes studio, ActiveRain.... help me leave my PC behind!!!

Hey Carrie!

Hey I'm a MAC, Hey I'm a PC (just kidding). I do have both. From your error it looks like you are using Safari. Try using Internet Explorer or Mozilla browser and this should fix the problem.

While I mainly use a PC at the office I get this problem a bunch when using Mozilla when signing in to different lender websites. It seems that 99% have been written for IE

Hope it helps.

Happy Selling!

Active Rain is NOT compatible with Safari.  You must use Firefox or BonEcho.

It's really annoying.  Considering more and more people (especially realtors) are now using the Mac, and considering that Safari is available on not only Windows, but the iPhone, which is one of the most popular smart phones, I find this totally unacceptable. There is nothing 'special' about the Active Rain platform - there is no excuse for making it compatible with all major browsers... and Safari IS a major browser.

But the powers to be don't seem to care, as it has been brought to their attention.  It's really aggravating, as I do not use Firefox as my main browser - I use Safari.  So I always have to switch JUST for Active Rain.

People who design websites to be compatible with certain browsers should be shot - it's just WRONG.  Same with Internet Explorer!  The number of people using Firefox is substantial, and yet many sites are ONLY compatible with Internet EXPLODER, probably the WORST browser out there.

It's pure laziness.  And annoying.  I try not to do business with people who don't design websites to be compatible with ALL browsers - there is just no excuse!

Thanks a bunch for the advise. I just tried using my Firefox with with AR and it worked great!!! Finally a solution to one of my MAC woos. If only there was one browser compatible with all computers and all websites, that's an idea that would be worth millions!!

Any ideas about making Firefox your default browser? Would it be better than Safari? Positives vs. Negatives....

I too use the MacBook Pro and have Firefox set as my default browser.  I have had no problems with it so far, no sites compatability issues with any sites.
