I know this is not one of my usual Bank of America Short Sale Process Updates or market conditions report, but it's something we try to do every year.
While your are busy making new year's resolutions or perhaps defiantly resolving not to make them, this is a great time to check on some safety things if you are a GA Home owner. while you are putting away your Christmas Decorations.
Smoke & Carbon monoxide detectors
Yearly checkups on all smoke and carbon monoxide detectors is a must during the Holiday season. Making things safe for your family can prevent unfortunate circumstances or tragedies. For some fun you can try out those candles you got over the holiday and see if they can set off the alarm! To take the saftey (and potentially fun) to a new level, take the time to plan your route out of the home. My kids love fire drills.
Decorations
Decorations can be highly flammable. Be sure to keep them away from overloaded electrical outlets, candles, and fireplaces. In particular, don't just toss them somewhere, be thoughtful about where you store these, and be extra careful if you are planning on leaving those decorations up all year long.
Oh and change your HVAC filter. Yeah, I said it.
