Last year I wrote a blog about New Years Resolutions and how do not believe in them. For the past 5 years, I have been setting mini goals. I have to say, in 2012 I wrote down every single goal I wanted to accomplish and I did it..and maybe then some. I have always been a goal setter and figured trying new things is the way to go in small doses.
In my blog post last year titled "12 in 12!," I came up with goal inspirations mainly not for myself, but for my readers. This is what I accomplished on my 2012 Punch List:
- Experienced Zumba, Kickboxing, & Weight Training
- Attended more ( 3 extra) educational classes than I would in the past
- Bought a bicycle and biked on the Farmington Valley Greenway weekly
-Woke up at 5am to get a head start on the day 3-4 days per week
-Added bright colors to my wardrobe ( hot pink, yellow)
-Prepared one new dish a month
-Tried one new restaurant a month
-Read one new book a month
-Gave personalized gifts to friends & family
Setting mini goals versus resolutions will make life interesting & purposeful all year-long. Resolutions normally fade away after a few weeks to a month. Goals that are attainable are fun and keep life flavorful for you and the ones around you.
I will tell you one goal I have for 2013, and that is to experience parasailing! - (it's already booked for January!) What goals do you want to set to make your life exciting in 2013?

Happy 2013!
