Energy Efficiency is one of the most important things a buyer is concerned about when buying a home but they don’t know where to turn for help. I have stated in my previous posts one of the most underutilized programs in Real Estate is the Energy Efficient Mortgage. Many Agents and Lenders are not aware of the FHA EEM loan. It allows buyers to finance energy improvements at the time of purchase. From day one the buyers get a more comfortable, efficient, healthier, and durable home all at a rate that can’t be beat by other loans. The EEM is an add on to the buyers FHA loan they already qualified for . It can also be added on to a 203k loan for an even bigger impact.

I'm excited for this Seminar and will be attending myself. As a Certified Home Inspector and Licensed Energy in the Reno area I see the need for Energy Retrofits on a daily basis. Buyer can't afford the repairs once the own the home but can afford it at the time of purchase since the energy savings offsets and often exceeds the additional monthy laon fees.
