Life ended as I knew it ended a year ago this month.
Nothing ever will be the same.
So a new norm is the only path available.
There are many, many times when I think that I just want my life back.
But that is not an option.
I lost my Dad a year ago in a freak accident.
Hands down, I had the best Daddy in the world.
Here is a link to the post of the Tribute to Daddy I wrote that was read at his Memorial.
Or read this one to stop you in your tracks http://actvra.in/NhN
Everything is NEW as a direct or indirect result.
New Schedule. Lots of time invested in managing the Family Business.
New Friends. New people gratefully and surprisingly entered my orbit.
Old Friends Revealed. Some have been the a rock of Gibralter times ten.
New Understanding of the Grief over the loss of a loved one.
New Job Orientation. My Dad was my Builder Client of decades, too.
New Holiday Routines. New Free Time Routines. New Mentors. New everything.
New Office after decades. New Daily Routines. New way of leading the rest of my life.
Sometimes you just have to pick yourself up and keep going because there is no other path to take.
And then it is time to be humbly grateful for the people and changes and routines and choices that have become the fabric of your NEW life.
