Village Shires is a collection of 12 different neighborhoods comprised of condos, townhomes, and single-family homes built primarily by Gigliotti off of Buck Rd. in Holland, PA in Northampton Township starting in the late 1970's. The neighborhood offers three community recreation centers that all have their own pool and is centered around The Village Shires Shopping Center which offers a wonderful Country Store/ Deli, a great BYOB Pizzeria and Italian restaraunt Aldo's, plus a pharmacy, Dunkin Donuts and many other takeout places from Chinese to Wings.
The entire community is managed by The Village Shires Community Association (VSCA). The VSCA includes the single homes located in Heather Valley I and II, the townhouses in Country Place I and II, Bridleridge, and Millpond, as well as the six independent Condominium Associations in Beacon Hill, Signal Hill, Heritage Place, Tamerlane, Canterbury Croft, Hamlet, and Old Jordan Woods. All of the homes pay approximately $115 - $125 per quarter for common maintenance of the entire community and the condos pay a separate monthly fee of approximately $150 per month. These fees cover Common Area Maintenance, Exterior Building Maintenance, Lawn Maintenance, Snow & Trash Removal, Swim and Clubhouse Fee, and for the Tennis Courts. Village Shires Assoc. Website.
