Como Park Ostrich by Teri Eckholm REALTOR

We enjoy visiting our free admission zoo in St Paul, MN...the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory! It is an awesome place both in the summer and winter. From the time I was a kid it was our family gathering spot with reunions, parties and fun place to spend an afternoon. Last summer we got up close and personal with an ostrich that came to the fence to check out the camera.

Teri, that certainly looks like an interested party!  A free zoo?  You are so lucky.  Lots of learning and photo ops available to you and a very pleasant way to spend the day.

Mona & Dorie--Yes we are very fortuate to have a free zoo in our area...It survives on donations and has been an important fixture in our community for decades. We do have one that is larger in Apple Valley that has an admission fee too.

Patricia & Kristin--Yup...it's an ostrich that was very curious about the camera so we got a closeup!

Hi Teri, If there was a Zoo God, all Zoos would be free. Unfortunately most are not but they need to be afforded for the sheer experience needed by every person on earth. I love this photo.
