Yesterday was the first day of League competition at both the Empire Polo Club and the Eldorado Polo Club..lots of polo with teams and horses testing their fitness and strategies. Our Polo is such a unique event in our Palm Springs Valley..I hope that our seasonal visitors and snowbirds take the time to come out and experience it for themselves!
A few fun facts about coming to the polo games in Indio
1. Cost? Ranging on days..from FREE to maybe $5/car..very affordable!
2. What to wear? Forget Pretty Woman and dress for comfort. Jeans and flat shoes so you can go "stomp divots" at half time. There ARE people that dress up and they are very welcome, but I suggest comfort.
3. I don't know the game? No worries here. The announcers at both clubs are supurb at explaining what is going on during the game, but who cares? Enjoy the colors, excitement, sounds, people watching. Have a drink, something to eat and breathe!
If you're in the Palm Springs Valley looking for a seasonal home, or just here for a quick visit, save some time on Sunday to watch the games. Sundays at noon and 2 pm..count on it through April.
