Door County Retirement! Visit and shop Bargains Unlimited for Scandia Village in Door County, Wisconsin Shopping at Bargains Unlimited in Sister Bay. My mother is a nurse, currently working at St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay, but she started her career as a CNA at Scandia Village (Good Samaritan Society) in Sister Bay, Wisconsin. This was because her mother lived in the Alzheimer's Wing from 2000 until 2004. Mom's love affair with the health field began by assisting her mother at Scandia Village, which turned into volunteerism, then a included trip back to school, actual employment as an LPN at Scandia Village, up to her move to St. Mary's. I have been familiar with this facility since my teen-age years, when it was built, Christmas caroling with my church for the residents. My grandmother, Joyce Teskie, is currently a resident at Scandia Village, and I am so glad she is in a place that I feel she can call "home". I'm no expert, but I feel it is one of the best adult senior living communities in the United States. Many would agree.
Good Samartian Society--Scandia Village offers several lifestyle options. The Villas and Meadows apartments are the perfect choice for those who are able to live independently. If one requires assistance, your needs will be met and you will be treated with compassion and dignity in the assisted living complex, Woodview. The specialized care center offers 24-hour nursing care with both private and semi-private rooms. Birchwood Special Care Unit offers specialized care for those with Alzheimer’s and other related dementias. I recently had some dear friends sell a home in Ellison Bay and move into The Meadows, where they are enjoying life to the fullest.
One of the facets that drives Scandia Village to be the incredible community that it has become is Bargains Unlimited. Bargains Unlimited is a resale shop, where our tax-deductable donations, run with volunteer support from the SCAND Auxiliary, have created one of the largest and popular resale shops north of Green Bay. The proceeds of the sales of donated products provide income to use for Scandia Village Senior Living Community residents and staff.
As a Realtor, not a week goes by in my calendar year wherein I have a client ask me "what should I do with my items that I don't want" in order to declutter a listing or prepare for an actual move. Bargains Unlimited is an exceptional answer to that problem. They accept gently used items, from furnishings to clothing, dishes, books, jewelry...just about anything that you don't need anymore. They are open seven days per week, and locals and visitors to Door County alike can find exceptional bargains...unlimited...to help furnish a home, clothe a growing child or find the perfect item for a collection.
Items that Bargains Unlimited include:

This point was driven home during the past three months where I had several closings. Bargains Unlimited was (and is) open seven days a week. They pick up and deliver. They provide a vital community service that goes for the greater good of the entire northern Door County community.
In addition to assisting my clients toward the benefits of Bargains Unlimited, it's a fantastic place to search for treasures. One might find a special antique, a unique costume or antique jewelry for a holiday or party or ice skates for a growing child. You can find hidden treasures, and items change daily.
One of the other fantastic things about Bargains Unlimited is the SCAND Auxiliary staff. They are friendly, courteous, helpful and knowledgable--and all volunteers.
I'm not the only one who appreciates Bargains Unlimited. Read some recent Yelp reviews HERE.
