Active Rain + Good People + Great Food = OUTSTANDING Friendships
I feel terrible that I didn't post this first but, since the Thom & Ray Team made their way to Charlotte for a visit, I've had little time to even sleep!! Things are rockin' in Charlotte but, that's no excuse, right?!
Thom and I met here in the Rain and talk at least weekly about various real estate related topics. Thom's area has been the tail-on-the-dog in the real estate world, so to speak and he's always interested in how our market is doing so, he'll know what to expect next in his. It's been fun (if anyone can make it 'fun,' it's Thom!) learning the WordPress ropes together and referring clients to and from our areas.
Thom KNOWS Midtown and works with Georgia Tech parents to place their students in Midtown condos rather than 'renting' dorm rooms--a MUCH better investment for parents. My point in telling you this is that if you EVER have a referral to the Midtown Atlanta area, THOM IS YOUR GUY!! My clients RAVE about him and I can't say enough wonderful things about his business practices--he's results-driven, extremely organized and KNOWS his business!
Referring our business to others in different areas can be tough but, referrals to Thom have been some of the easiest referrals I've ever made. He provides world-class service to my clients and I never have to worry for a minute that they're not in good hands!
I'm SO glad you visited Charlotte, Thom! It's always a treat to get to see you and was SUCH a pleasure meeting Ray too--who, by-the-way, I ADORE!!! Looking forward to seeing you again soon!
For those that do, or don't, really know me, my life partner of 23 years is working his behind off as an actor. If you think WE work hard in real estate, you ought to try interviewing for a job 5-7 times per week. That's really what it's like as an actor. Each audition is a job interview.
Ray submitted for a commercial via his agent and a national website that talent and casting agents use. So, basically, that was interview #1. Well, he got a call back (like a second interview) but this one was to be held in Charlotte, NC. That's a 4 hour drive at 70+MPH. But because of the level of the commercial, he had to make this trip.
Well, no fun to do that drive alone, and I thought, once the audition is over, we might be able to have lunch with a dear friend and Active Rain confidant! So, I let that dear friend know I was going to be dropping in for a couple hours on Friday.
You'd have thought the long lost friend from high school was coming to town....Debe Maxwell was sooooo excited I was coming to Charlotte! And to add icing to the cake, she was going to have her first opportunity to meet MY RAY! (As you may know, her husband is also Ray, whom I've NEVER met yet!)
After the audition, Debe was the gracious host and gave us the GRAND tour of the Savvy & Company offices. I can't say I've ever seen a more tasteful office that flows right from the office into their marketing and beyond. Or maybe it's the other way around? What a delightful work space indeed!
Then we hopped in her buggy and motored a short distance to a fabulous restaurant, Loco Lime. I gotta tell you, I've had many a meal in a Mexican restaurant, but this was hands down the BEST I've Ever had! Even Ray loved it and he's one tough restaurant critic!
I had the Chipotle Lime Chicken.....and it was absolutely amazing!
So, we got to have an enjoyable lunch, filled with chatter about past times together, as well as some real estate talk and ideas!
Active Rain + Good People + Great Food = OUTSTANDING Friendships.
What a great receipe indeed! Thanks for your AWESOMENESS Debe!!!
