Wow. I really had no idea I had been gone so long. I haven't written a blog post in quite a while, if anyone has noticed. I stopped chemo for the cancer in my lungs in late December. Then, I developed a cough in mid-January.
It was pretty bad and it was getting worse every day; I am still coughing terribly. I try not to freak out, but I was pretty freaked out. My husband took me to the Mayo Clinic and announced that there "is cancer in her [expletive deleted] lungs!!!" He likes to take a positive attitude.
Turns out, I have pneumonia. No big deal. Ha! Kind of puts things in perspective, doesn't it? I screamed "kick ass!" into the phone when the receptionist called with the results. She is probably still freaked out about the girl who was so happy to have pneumonia. So that's where I've been.
I planned on writing a great search engine tip today, but I stopped halfway through and deleted it. There are two techniques that I use that I find to be extremely effective and I've never written about them here. I do have one or two SEO clients per month (strictly word of mouth), and I use these techniques for them.
But I'm not stingy! The problem is that I hold a number one position (Google) for a very important search phrase, using one of these two techniques.
As I was typing this, I thought: What if the nine mortgage brokers beneath me-- for this particular phrase-- read my blog? What if I go ahead and help someone who ends up knocking me down a few Google pegs?
I wonder what y'all think about this idea? Is it smart for mortgage brokers or Realtors to write about their best SEO techniques when their competition could be reading and learning? Would that be some cruel irony?
Yes, that's a picture of Billy Mumy. I don't know why I put it up. Probably because I love Lost in Space. Why isn't Lost in Space on T.V. anymore? And don't you dare say it's no good...
