HOCKEY STRIKE ENDS.... how to stage a rink in your basement.

Home Staging in Vaughan brings all sorts of properties our way to stage.  From 18,000 sq ft. mansions to country homesteads we never quite know what we will find when we arrive to do a consult.

In this country property the home owners had started to create a play room for their kids in the basement.

With the Hockey strike now over we knew what we wanted to do to capture the hearts of buyers when they came in to see this property.  With a bit of packing up by the home owner we then brought in our painter to create a hockey rink in the basement that any hockey fan would love!

Now buyers who are looking for a place to call home and love the game of hockey are going to find it pretty hard to tell the kids that they aren't buying this house!

Investment, minimal.

Impact, priceless.

If you are selling your home and you want to leave a great first impression with a buyer let us come up with a detailed focused game plan for you to prepare your home for sale.

It all starts with a staging consult.

Take the first step and call to arrange for your personal written staging plan today.

Great job Michelle. It gives me an idea on what to do with our huge unfinished basement when the time to sell arrive!

This is fantastic!  My son played youth hockey and he would have LOVED this in our basement.  I like that you also included the basketball fans!

Michelle - You did not!  Oh my gosh, this is so creative and so Canadian!  Is the floor of the rink painted as well?  What a great idea.

Preparing your property for sale

Hi Wika, we do soccer fields as well. Both sports are very popular in our area.

HI Sharon, I know most kids would love to have a basement to play in like this one! What do people do that have homes without basements? It always reminds me of the Pee Wee Herman movie when he went to look for his stolen bicycle in the basement of the Alamo.  He went on the tour of the Alamo only to be told by the tour guide that the Alamo doesn't have a basement. That's when Pee Wee fainted. Still makes me laugh.

Hi Sally, we are Leaf fans here in our province so you know what that means. We are fans who love a team even when they haven't won since 1967. That's why we all practice our hockey skills year round in the basement and summer on the road in front of our houses. We all try to raise the next saviour hockey player for our team!

Yes the floor is painted as well and then clear coated twice so that the kids can slide on it with their socks or use their roller blades to play. It was truly an inspiring sight to see! The kids gasped in delight when they saw it. They couldn't believe it was theirs to use.
