Well, Craig, here we go again...something new that you point out for us that I have to bookmark and find the time to go figure out. Darn ya, stop teaching us stuff!!!
I so appreciate tutorial style posts...I am the classic hybrid, half way between pre-internet and post-internet worlds. Thank you!
Thanks Craig, I must admit I do not work Facebook much, especially on the personal side, but will investigate this instruction.
hi Patricia - nice to see you - we haven't crossed blog paths in a while - hope you have a great 2013
Gayle - you can't complain too hard - at least I'm not in a post per day 30 day challenge! ;)
Li - I appreciate the kind words, thanks!
Kathy - FB can be a distraction but it is nice for keeping in touch with others if you keep your time with it in check! Getting to know others better is always a good thing.
Craig- well done. I've noticed the "ticker" to my right moving down my page and thought that was what it was for but had not given it a lot of thought. So much information being thrown to us all at once.
Craig, My ticker bar is up but didn't know I could hover. Thanks again for relative infromation.
I just have to take my hat off to you Craig you are so technology wise! I don't know where I was standing when they passed out the info on understanding technology???
Craig, as always thanks for the info and the sharing. Just happened to notice this by accident the other day. Have a super good 2013!
Hi Craig,
I used to get on Facebook a lot in the past. Now I spend a lot of time on Linkedin and Active Rain even more.
I had lost interest in Facebook. Too open to a "social" type forum. I like the business style forums.
Have a good day and very good advice my friend.
Best, Clint McKie
We knew we could depend on you for "what's ticking" in technology....and now pay more attention on Facebook.
Craig, great tip, I like the hover pop up effect, very efficient, thanks and Happy New Year.
Hello Craig, great post... Only one thing.. Ticker is not going to work if you are not very active on Facebook. My husband goes there very rarely and when he tried to activate this future it didn't work. Just and FYI.
Thank you.
Hi Craig, Thanks for this Tip. My Ticker was turned off, but it's on now.
Thank you for the information. I was not aware of the full aspects of facebook.
Thanks Craig, I had not paid that much attention to the ticker, now I will have to play with this a little.
Interesting information. I've noticed the sidebar but didn't understand it fully. Thanks!
Good post. Not many of us are well tuned in to all the "features" that Facebook offers. Everytime I attend a Facebook webinar it seems like I learn another tip. Love it. Thanks.
Great tip. Now I'm off to try to find the right button to activate. Good luck to me.
Thanks my friend. I'm am pretty inept at a lot of social media and I know I have to get in the game sooner rather than later. I'll give this a try.
Hi Craig - thank you for reminding us about this facebook feature. We sometimes forget to look at that area.
I use the Social Fixer browser add-on to better manage my Facebook experience and it lets you hide the ticker, among other things. I had been hiding it for quite a while because it was kind of distracting in a hypnotic sort of way, but recently I unhid it and have been watching it more closely. If I become too distracted by it again, back it goes to being hid!
Dear Craig,
You always know such interesting things. Not that I have much time to spend on Facebook, but probably would be cool for a rainy day with clients, who do not own rain coats and have to reschedule.
Thanks for your classroom, Craig. I always learn something new and interesting from you. I will check this out.
Hi Craig, thanks we did not know this. And we often browse friends manually. This is a big help!
Thanks for sharing that tip. I am still learning Facebook. They keep puting me in the corner for being bad. I have'nt seen the business advantage to facebook as of yet.
Craig, thanks for these useful Facebook tips. Although I am not a frequent user of Facebook, it is important to understand how it operates.
Well that answers my question! I have been wondering for months and months how to get that sidebar ticker. I have seen it on other people's pages in the past, however did not know how to install the sidebar myself. Now I now, thanks to you!
I often scroll through the ticker and see what I can see. However, I would like to hide my own comments from other people's tickers. Is there a setting that will do this?
Thanks Craig, I always enjoy your posts. Good Luck in 2013 lets hope it's a good one.
