Good Places to Get Sushi in Palatine
Now I’m not food critic expert, but I do love to eat me some food. And one of my favorite kinds of food to eat is Sushi. And it’s not because I’m trying to fulfill some Asian Stereotype, but because it is a delicious and healthy alternative to the greasy cheeseburgers and fried chicken that normally make up my diet. But if you’re like me and you are looking for some good sushi, you also want to make sure you’re getting the most bang for your buck. So here are two places that I’ve been to in Palatine that have made my stomach very happy!
Sushi Para – Located on 1268 E. Dundee Rd. just west of 53, Sushi Para is a very popular destination for sushi and food lovers. One of the great things about this restaurant is that it is all you can eat sushi (disclaimer: you will be charged for any leftover pieces that you did not finish). But here’s the way it works: they give you a paper menu with all the appetizers, soups, sushi rolls, and pieces and you just write down the quantity of each item that you want to eat. On a good day, I can usually eat some appetizers, a miso soup, some edamame, and then 4-5 different kinds of rolls. The rolls are pretty big and the service is usually pretty good. You will be very full and hopefully get your money's worth. It does get crowded, so if you go during the busy hours, prepare to wait!
Sushi Ai – This restaurant is located at 710 W. Euclid Ave, and when you walk in it has a much more contemporary feel. It’s a little bit fancier than Sushi Para and it is not all you can eat. The quality of the sushi was very good, but I was not a fan of the Teriyaki Chicken. It was a little dry and bland. But the Shrimp Tempura Udon was pretty delicious. I really liked this place and would recommend it if you’re going out on a 1st date or celebrating an event. I also did notice that there were quite a few families present as well. We got seated pretty quickly and the service was excellent. Depending on what you order, it can get a little pricey so watch out!
These are just two of the many places to dine in Palatine, IL. It’s also another reason as to why living in Palatine is awesome and convenient. It has everything you need: Great places to eat and dine, Safe neighborhoods, Metra Station, Great Schools, Plenty of Shopping, Etc.
